The new Andre Norton award for YA literature now has an emblem that reference both her fantasy works as well as her science fiction.

Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America has announced the

creation of an emblem for the Andre Norton Award for Best Young Adult Science

Fiction or Fantasy Novel of the Year. The emblem will be used on the covers of

books that win the award, in the tradition of the Newberry and other

distinguished literary awards. Designed by James F. Beveridge,

the emblem features a gryphon, symbolic of Norton's Witch World series,

against a starry background.

The first Andre Norton Award was presented this May to _Valiant_, by Holly

Black (Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing, ISBN: 0689868227.)

The emblem can be seen at http://www.sfwa.org/News/Norton_Award_gold.jpg.
