I'm getting ready to depart in a couple of days for Wiscon, the largest feminist SF convention. This is a special one - because it's the 30th anniversary, a lot of the former guests of honor are returning, including Kate Wilhelm, Jane Yolen, Ursula LeGuin, Vonda McIntye, Samuel R. Delany, Joan Vinge, Pamela Sargent, and on and on.
Part of getting ready is preparing for the reading my group is doing Friday night, called Horrific Miscue (number 42 on your program, if you're planning on attending Wiscon). It'll be my third time reading, but this time I'm reading "10 New Metaphors for Cyberspace", a very short piece. So I'm packing clothes and trying to figure out ways to alleviate the lack of sleep that I know will be part of the convention for me. I'm even trying to get on East Coast time.
In other news, I've got a story up at Aberrant Dreams, called "Mother's World", if you're interested in checking it out.
